Dear Friends
Shavua tov. Malka and I are really touched by the amount of care and kindness from the kehilla. As you know, I was diagnosed with COVID this past Thursday afternoon. Baruch H’ my symptoms have been mild, and we hope they will remain that way. Having said that we ask that everyone does daven for me (Yaakov Zvi ben Sarah Chana) and most importantly the safety of everyone in our kehillah hakedosha, as we know nothing can ever be taken for granted especially at this trying time. We have appreciated all the texts, emails and calls (even though I am not able to answer everyone right away). Thank you for your many acts of unexpected kindness and for just going out of the way to show you care. We are so blessed to be living in such a community and family. This experience has really got me thinking about a lot of things. One is that we currently have a number of families in quarantine from shul and with neighborhood numbers going up at an alarming rate, it could be likely there might be more in the future. Experiencing quarantine from the inside isn’t so simple. Things like groceries, pharmacy pickups and basic errands become a challenge. Thankfully we have been overwhelmed with kind offers and are fully covered but I want to make sure that all families who might be in a similar situation will have all the resources they need without having to worry. I would like to suggest that anyone interested in helping please email Aviva Golombeck ([email protected]) or Batsheva Medows ([email protected]) who will create a watsapp group of volunteers. Each time there is a family in need they will be in touch with the family and any pickups or deliveries can be easily be arranged with little worry. Thank you for spreading the kindness. May we hear only Besoros Tovos. Ya’akov Trump
